delete your account, your data, and how we handle privacy

Three different "delete" buttons live in settings. They do different things.

Delete all open tasks

Settings → delete all open tasks. Removes your current open tasks. Your account, memory, and history stay. Use this if you want a fresh task list without losing anything else.

Sign out of cloud sync

Settings → sign out of cloud sync. Disconnects this device from your account. Your tasks stay in the cloud for when you sign in again. Use this if you're handing the device to someone else but want to keep your account.

Delete your account

Settings → delete account & restart app intro. This is permanent. It removes:

  • Your tasks.
  • Your memory.
  • Your account record.
  • Your sync data.

It does not automatically cancel your subscription — Apple, Google, or Stripe still own that side. Cancel the subscription separately (see → "how to cancel your subscription") before deleting the account, otherwise you'll keep getting billed.

What we store and who we share it with

neurolist runs on a small set of third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google) — account auth, task sync, cloud storage.
  • OneSignal — sending notifications.
  • PostHog — product analytics (which features get used, where people drop off). Anonymous unless you explicitly sign in.
  • Stripe and RevenueCat — billing.
  • OpenAI — generating task breakdowns. Your task title and memory facts are sent to OpenAI's API when you generate a breakdown.

What we will never do

Sell your data. Not to ad networks, not to data brokers, not to anyone. That's a hard line.

Ad / tracking consent

If your region requires it, a privacy options link appears at the bottom of settings. Tapping it controls ad-personalization consent (this is the same form your phone shows you on first run).

Export my data

Not currently supported in-app. Email [email protected] and I'll pull your data manually.
